College of Humanities Homerathon

Wednesday, November 8, 2023 - 08:30 to 18:30
University of Arizona Mall
The College of Humanities is excited to announce that this year's Homerathon taking place Wednesday, November 8th, from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm on the UArizona mall!
The Homerathon is an annual event presented by Eta Sigma Phi (the Classics Honors Society), the Department of Religious Studies and Classics, and the College of Humanities. This traditional event aims to promote interest in ancient Greek language and literature, the field of Classics, and the humanities among the UA Wildcat and broader Tucson communities.

This year, a collaborative reading of the Odyssey in its entirety will be complemented by short presentations every hour on the hour. Please come by to listen, read, or both!

Here is the LINK to the sign-up sheet. We encourage you to sign up to read and participate in this fun and educational event! Additionally, please note that the rows highlighted in BLUE are presentation slots. We ask that you sign up in these rows if you would like to have a 10-minute slot to lecture, perform a musical rendition, recite a Greek or Latin work, or anything else along those lines. (The sign-up is necessary only if participating in a reading or presentation related to the Odyssey; please feel free to stop by to listen even if you don’t sign up!)
All students and other UArizona community members are welcome!

Please reach out to arizonaetasigmaphi@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. We hope to see you there!
