THOMAS P. MILLER is Professor of English and Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. He directed the Writing Program and the graduate program in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English. He writes about rhetoric, teaching writing, and higher education, and has won a national book award and awards for mentoring graduate students, supporting faculty, and advancing diversity. He has received three Humanities Seminars Superior Teaching Awards.
