Kyungsun Choi

KYUNGSUN CHOI has had a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist, and teacher. A native of Seoul, South Korea, he graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul, where he earned his bachelor’s in piano performance. He earned his doctorate in piano performance from the UA. He has been praised in the press as “a great energetic pianist” (Arizona Daily Star) and “a pianist with rich emotion and sensitivity” (The Korean Arizona Times). Dr. Choi has given many solo recitals and chamber recitals both in the United States and South Korea. He worked with several orchestras, including Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra, and Tucson Repertory Orchestra, performing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2, Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor”, and more.
