Dante Lauretta

DANTE LAURETTA is Regents Professor of Planetary Science and Cosmochemistry at the University of Arizona and Director of the Arizona Astrobiology Center. An expert in near-Earth asteroids, he serves as Principal Investigator of NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission, which successfully returned samples from asteroid Bennu to Earth in 2023. His research in cosmochemistry and astrobiology explores the origins of the solar system and the chemical foundations of life, bringing remarkable discoveries to HSP learners.
