Janet Hollander, Chair of the Humanities Seminars Board, recently retired from a career in public education, corporate training and development, and management consultancy. She has served on the HSP Board as head of the Publicity Committee and as a volunteer for many other HSP activities. She grew up in the Rocky Mountain West and received her B.A. from Smith College and her M.A from the University of Connecticut. Janet has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including a wide range of projects from training management personnel in England, Germany and Brazil to writing the first anti-human-trafficking curriculum, which now is being used nationwide by more than 2,000 people in law enforcement, immigration law, and social work. She has attended dozens of HSP classes along with her husband Joe and continues to do so.
